I completed my Inchbald diploma in 2012. I then carried out the research for an MA whilst accompanying my husband, who was working abroad. During this period, I undertook a variety of design commissions from small roof gardens in London to country house gardens of several acres.
During our travels, I also took on a major project covering the design and construction of a dacha (country cottage) and its gardens.
My life took an unexpected turn a few years ago when I was a passenger in a car accident that left me with severe injuries. The recovery process has been a challenging journey, but it has also given me a new perspective on life and my work.
As I gradually became mobile again, I found garden work to be more effective than conventional physiotherapy for my physical rehabilitation. Moreover, this kind of work brought tremendous psychological benefits as it helped me to put the horror of the accident behind me.
My experience in garden design, combined with my newfound appreciation for life and nature, has inspired me to continue creating beautiful outdoor spaces for my clients. Something like: My greatest pleasure comes from doing meaningful work that is valued and appreciated by clients.
